Master of Science program "Ecogeochemistry of oil and gas" starts

Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazin announce the recruitment of undergraduate students on the new Master of Science program "Ecogeochemistry of oil and gas". Master education will be carried out by a two-year program based on acquired Bachelor degree in three departments: school of chemistry, school of ecology and faculty of geology, geography, recreation and tourism under the field "Chemistry", "Ecology and Environment" and "Geology of oil and gas" accordingly.

Program provides the integration of knowledge on geology, chemistry and environmental protection during hydrocarbon production of different nature and origin.

The curriculum includes learning the basics of oil and gas fields and chemical and metrological support oil and gas forecasting methods, exploration of oil and gas, chemistry of hydrocarbons and technology solutions, standardization anthropogenic load, organization of the monitoring system and environmental audits in areas of oil production.

Practice in Ukrainian office of «Shell» and probations in UK universities.

For admission to the university specialization "Ecogeochemistry of oil and gas" it's necessary to pass entrance exams on

• foreign language;

• professional exam (for the chosen specialty).
